Palacios Homes is a family business focused on rehabilitating residential properties. For us, there is nothing better than finding a house that’s completely destroyed and bringing it back to life. It’s very fulfilling to see how much people love the final product when it's done.

Today’s market is a bit more challenging than in years past. There was a time when it was easier to plan. We’d purchase the property, invest a certain amount of time and money in rehabilitation, and be able to predict how long it would take to complete the project fairly accurately. We could plan how it was going to go and how it was going to grow. Now it’s a completely different picture ─ there’s just a lot more uncertainty in today’s economic environment.

Sev Araradian, our Relationship Manager at 1st Century Bank, helps us navigate that uncertainty. There are a lot of moving pieces in our business. For example, we often have numerous transactions we need processed right away – a wire going this way and a wire going that way.
