Mr. Digange is the retired President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Santa Monica Bank (formerly Western Bank), which was acquired by US Bancorp in 1999. He has been in commercial banking since 1950, beginning with Union National Bank of Chicago and Security Pacific National Bank. In 1972, he organized and from 1972 to 1982 served as President, Chief Executive and Director of First Los Angeles Bank, a state-chartered financial institution headquartered in Century City, successfully initiating its merger with Italian bank San Paolo Di Torino in 1982 and continuing as Vice Chairman and Director following the merger. He has been involved in a number of charitable and civic activities, including as past director of Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles, the Arthritis Foundation, and the National Italian-American Foundation, Inc. He is a recipient of the 1979 Spirit of Life Award by the City of Hope, a former member of Unico National, and a past member of the Advisory Board for Villa Scalabrini.
